The position will work with client and project teams in the US to support global consulting engagements from India to help CFOs and their finance organizations identify, design and implement programs that transform their finance functions to meet todays demanding requirements while continuing to provide valuable insights to the business.
As a team member, you will provide advisory services focused on implementing process improvement solutions that strengthen accountability and promote effective financial processes and procedures at Fortune 500 and other large organizations. Team members will work with the US project team on consulting engagements that may involve (but not limited to) the following:
Analyze current state of finance function, perform fit gap analysis, make recommendations for future state and design to be processes
Effectively contribute in process improvements in finance processes such as RTR, PTP and OTC
Assist in setting up shared services Business case development, SSC diagnosis, design and implementation
Analyze current baseline and gaps based on leading practices, confirm the finance vision, define Finance TOM and develop roadmap for change
Evaluate management reporting requirements, design reports to meet current
reporting requirement, standardize reports and design dashboards
Identification and development of KPIs to track performance of Finance function
Analyze current finance function process, structure and capabilities, assess current capability gaps, design future state business partnering framework
Contribute in development of Point of View and Thought Leadership papers
The candidate is expected to have good knowledge of Finance and Accounting and apply the principles in the Finance effectiveness engagements by:
Demonstrating working knowledge of finance and accounting processes in transaction processing, close/consolidation, budgeting/forecasting, and internal/external reporting
Demonstrating working knowledge of process improvement in at least one of the following focus areas: shared service and outsourcing, finance transformation, performance management, and financial systems optimization
The candidate should be able to demonstrate management consulting abilities and
proven success in supporting teams through the design and implementation of changes
to finance strategy and operations (including people, processes, controls and technology
Demonstrating experience identifying and addressing client needs
Demonstrating strategic and creative thinking, problem solving, and taking initiative
Exhibiting strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative team environment
Communicating effectively (written and verbal) to various audiences
Supporting engagement manager in delivering engagements
Proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback providing guidance,
clarification and feedback to less experienced staff
Leveraging analytical skills with the ability to translate complex problems into simple and actionable tasks
Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in consulting companies
Experience of working with a Big 4 or top Management Consulting firm and exposure to multinational environment is preferred.
Prior background in assurance and risk will be useful.
Work experience will be considered relevant based on inputs and assessment during interview process
Professional and Educational Background:
Relevant undergraduate degree from a reputable institution required.
CA/CPA/ICWA/CMA/Masters in Business Administration from a premium school
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products such as PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, Word etc.
Good to have exposure to one or more of technology ERPs/financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, Hyperion etc.
